Welcome to RealMarket. By accessing our platform, you agree to these terms. RealMarket is a platform connecting businesses and customers in Zimbabwe; we do not own or manage the inventory listed by independent businesses.
1. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and all activities that occur under your account.
- Businesses must verify their identity before obtaining a verified badge.
2. Prohibited Items and Actions
- Selling illegal goods, stolen items, counterfeit products, or restricted services is strictly prohibited.
- Fraudulent activity, spamming, or creating misleading listings will result in an immediate permanent ban.
3. Transactions & Liability
All transactions, payments, and deliveries are arranged directly between the seller and the customer. RealMarket serves only as an advertising platform and is not liable for disputes, though we encourage safe transaction practices such as inspecting goods before payment and meeting in public areas.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. This section explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Data Collection
We collect information you provide directly (such as your name, email, phone number, and listings) and information gathered automatically (such as IP addresses and device information for security purposes).
Data Usage
Your data is used solely to facilitate your use of RealMarket, verify user identity, improve our platform, and keep the community safe. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Communication
By registering, you agree to receive essential service updates and notifications related to your listings or requests. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time through your account settings.
Returns & Refunds Policy
Because RealMarket is a peer-to-peer and business-to-consumer marketplace, return policies depend entirely on the business selling the product.
For Customers
- Always thoroughly inspect items before making a payment.
- Clarify the return policy directly with the seller via WhatsApp or chat before completing a purchase.
- Once a transaction is completed, RealMarket cannot enforce refunds.
For Verified Businesses
- Verified businesses are expected to uphold consumer protection laws and clearly state their return, exchange, or warranty policies in their listing descriptions.
- Failure to honor stated return policies or selling defective goods may result in the revocation of verified business status.
Responsible Disclosure
We take the security of RealMarket and our users very seriously. If you are a security researcher and have discovered a vulnerability, we appreciate your help in disclosing it to us in a responsible manner.
Reporting Guidelines
- Please report potential vulnerabilities privately to our security team before making them public.
- Provide sufficient details and steps to reproduce the issue.
- Do not exploit vulnerabilities to access user data, destroy data, or degrade our services.
- We will review and address all legitimate reports promptly to keep our campus community safe.
